AAA Camp - August 25-30

The AAA Camp is designed to prepare all AAA eligible players for their AAA Evaluations.  Through an intensive 12 hour program, players will head to evaluations prepared to compete. This camp is similar in structure and format to the Junior A Prep Camp but delivered at a skill and age specific manner.  New for 2012 - Focus Fitness training option  (see below)

Male Eligibility Criteria:
1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 YOB - Players & Goaltenders who played Bantam or Midget AAA, AA Hockey or High School Hockey in the 2011-12 minor hockey season.
1999 YOB - Players may register if they played AA in the 2011-12 season.

Female Elibigility Criteria:
1995, 1996, 1997 YOB -
Players & Goaltenders who played Bantam or Midget AAA, AA hockey or High School Hockey in the 2011-12 minor hockey season.

All registrations MUST be approved by the program Director.


PREPARATORY PHASE

6 hours on-ice
(ice sessions are slated to allow for players to maintain gym workout schedules throughout) 

Purpose:  • Move players out of their comfort zone • Encourage execution of skills at a high-tempo • Develop a higher lactic acis tolerance threshold to improve hockey specific fitness level.

Highlights:  • Overspeed skill training • Anaerobic tolerance • Body checking • Assertive 1-1 puck skills • International individual tactics • Aerobic interval

TACTICAL PHASE

6 hours on-ice
(ice sessions are slated to allow for players to maintain gym workout schedules throughout) 

Purpose:  •To utilize a player`s skill, speed and fitness levels and focus on executing International Team Play tactics and systems introduced and reinforced in competitive scrimmage components.

Highlights:  • Integrated Team Play Tactics • European Flow Drills • International Team Play Systems • Aerobic-Anaerobic Splits • Attack, Support, Recover Principles


OFF-ICE CONDITIONING OPTION @ FOCUS FITNESS (optional)

Players registered in the AAA Camp may register for the Focus Fitness AAA Training Camp.  These fitness sessions will complement the on-ice schedule.  Execution of a goal specific fitness routine prior to try-outs is beneficial to moving a player to the next level in their fitenss and hockey development pursuit.  Players will work with a dedicated trainer.

6 sessions   X 60 minutes               August 11 - 16              $60.00 & $3.00 gst


AAA CAMP REGISTRATION

1999 - 1995 YOB Male           August 25 - 30          $230.00 & $11.50 gst
1997 - 1995 YOB Female      August 25 - 30          $230.00 & $11.50 gst
Focus Fitness Training         August 25 - 30             $60.00 &   $3.00 gst

There are four separate programming groups within the AAA Camp.  Groups will be determined by playing level and age.  Midget Female will be a separate group.
