to the home of Northwestern Hockey Sports Camps
Since 1987 Northwestern has worked with community groups and minor hockey associations throughout Canada and the United States to implement our “Community Outreach Program” which was developed to create an opportunity for all developing players, coaches and supporting parents to participate in a community based program of quality hockey development that is founded on individual challenges, support and enthusiasm allowing all participants the opportunity to gain skill, confidence and see success. Components of Community Outreach Programs:
Complements the player development program with a program designed to build consistency in the community’s / association’s hockey program and to support developing coaches in their quest for the most advanced training and instructional techniques. The program includes theoretical and technical concepts and provides the coaches an opportunity to gain a practical understanding of these concepts by working alongside our program staff during the player development program.
A program designed to bridge the gap among parents, coaches and administrators through a facilitated discussion and educational workshop that focuses on developing better communication and empathy for all the significant participants within the local hockey program.
