POE Prep Camp

Northwestern Hockey Sports Camp is pleased to offer a preparatory program for players that will be participating in the Hockey Manitoba Programs of Excellence in 2012.  The  POE Prep Camp programming will be under the direction of Larry Bumstead (on ice for all sessions).  Separate preparatory camps are available for each of the following Hockey Manitoba and Hockey Winnipeg Programs of Excellence:
* U18 Female POE Camp (midget)
* U16 Male POE Camp (1997 YOB)
* Director's Cup (1998 YOB)

This ELITE program allows High Performance AAA Elite players an opportunity to train together in a progressive program Elite Hockey Development that highly conditions and prepares players for their upcoming POE Camp to give them the jump on success.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

U18 Female POE Prep - all MIDGET aged players and goaltenders that have confirmed registration as a participant in the March POE Camp are eligible to register

U16 POE Prep - all players and goaltenders that have been listed by Hockey Manitoba as a participant in the U16 POE Spring Tournament are eliigble to register

Director's Cup - all 1998 YOB players and goaltenders that have confirmed participation in the Hockey Manitoba or Hockey Winnipeg Director's Cup tournaments in April are eligible to register

Each POE Prep Camp will take a maximum of:
24 skaters & 4 goaltenders

Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

  • Move players out of their comfort zone
  • Encourage execution of skills at high tempo
  • Develop a higher lactic acid tolerance

  • European flow drills
  • Aerobic / Anaerobic splits
  • Attack, Support, Recover Principles
  • International Individual Tactics

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

To register, complete the appropriate registration form (found below) and forward form along with payment to Northwestern Hockey Sports Camp office.  Registrations may be:
1.  Faxed to 204-926-5885  ATTN: Kathy
2.  emailed to nhsc@truenorth.mb.ca
3.  delivered in person or by mail to NHSC, MTS Iceplex, 3969 Portage Avenue, Wpg., R3K 1W4
